“Let us dream of tomorrow where we can truly love from the soul,
and know love as the ultimate truth at the heart of all creation.”

Michael Jackson

In the 5 years since Michael's passing people (younger fans and people outside the fan base) have discovered or re-discovered his talent and the beauty in his work. His legacy as an amazing artist, musician, entertainer, humanitarian is less clouded by hate-noise.
A lot of tributes have poured in showing how much Michael influenced people from may fields not just musicians.
For me today, the most impressive (and my source of comfort)  is the amazing energy that comes from the MJ family - the core fan base - that is carrying on the legacy of love.

The Long Walk To Freedom

“I have walked that long road to freedom. I have tried not to falter; I have made missteps along the way. But I have discovered the secret that after climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb. I have taken a moment here to rest, to steal a view of the glorious vista that surrounds me, to look back on the distance I have come. But I can only rest for a moment, for with freedom come responsibilities, and I dare not linger, for my long walk is not ended.”
Nelson Mandela

I am sure the walk isn't over but the struggle and pain are.
Words are small today. Love is impressive.
... gone too soon.

“The greatest glory in living
lies not in never falling,
but in rising every time we fall.”

Weep not for me

Isettaflower postet on flickr a group of pictures with Michael Jackson´s personal items up for sale to benefit a charity project that Michael and Isettaflower have helped together for the past 17 years, every year.

She also posted a very beautiful poem. Isettaflower said, Michael simply loved it.

WEEP NOT FOR ME

Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell
among the wonders of the earth; for my larger
self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other
side of pain...on the other side of darkness.

Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine
that touches your skin, a tropical breeze
upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart
and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your
hour of need, I will be there to comfort you.
I will share your tears, your joys, your fears,
your disappointments and your triumphs.

Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels,
and hear the music beyond the stars.

Do not weep for me, for I am within you;

I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses
the flowers. I am the calm that follows a
raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats
among the garden of God, and I am pure
white snow that softly falls upon your hand.

Do not weep for me, for I shall never die,
as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

June 13 - The truth runs marathons

Today marks the 5th anniversary of Michael Jackson's vindication from all charges...

We probably all remember that day more than vividly and thinking about it sends shivers down my spine. More than ever I was afraid of his life and the life of his family. The verdict made me cry of relief but all of this never stopped to crunch my stomach from pain.

When Jay-Z sang "Guilty Until Proven Innocent" it reminded me of the trial and I felt not even this applied for Michael.... WHY??!?

Now here we stand 5 years later still facing his legacy being smeared with lies and absurd accusations that those people don't even have to prove. They can just say it and make big money from it all around the world!

I'm really "tired of injustice, tired of these schemes" and I often feel hurt and helpless seeing it happen over and over again.

But then I remember what he tought me and the world and know that we cannot let this happen. We must raise our voice as one and bit by bit, piece by piece make that change.

I see so much love for Michael everywhere I go and I know millions around the world feel the same way. Let's bundle this energy and let the truth unfurl!!!

Michael deserves it.

His children deserve it.

His family deserves it.

We deserve it.

Getting in on action for June, 25th

Dear members of the #MJFam and #SoldiersOfLove,

plans for the “It´s all for L.O.V.E” blog on June 25 are coming up.

Karen Faye said: “We should honor his life and what he gave the world in June...and try not to feel sorry for our personal loss.

Supporting this intent, our  All-for-LOVE-webteam wants to publish very personal statements from Michael´s beautiful international family of fans to honor Michael on this day. We know that you  all will go on loving him. It hurts that he is no longer physically with us – but we all feel his spirit every now and than very strong and we a very grateful for this. He brought us together on the internet to share our grief and he keeps us together to comfort each other and to bring LOVE back into the world to make a change.

If you want to take an active part of our plan for this blog it would be nice to send us a note with some personal words. You may of course take your favorite quote or some of Michael´s lyrics. Your message will get more personal, when it is handwritten and than scaned into a jpg-file.

Add your twitter-name, please and –if you can agree to this-  your country right below  your statement. For the security of your privacy and data: We will delete your mail and address all at once and just save your attachments  or mail content you want us to publish on this blog.

Send your statements to:
itsallforloveblog@gmail.com

Thanks for joining us and all your support. We really do appreciate this very much. As single persons  we are nothing but weak– but our community and LOVE makes us strong and allows us to make a change. Remember: “We all are ONE.”

Thank you.
Love, peace and joy to your hearts.

Henrietta Lacks: A Legacy of Love

This is Mrs. Henrietta Lacks. To some, this name means nothing; to millions around the world, this woman's is the reason they're alive today.
Loretta Pleasant was born and raised in Southside Virginia in 1920.
Ms. Pleasant married and moved to Baltimore and became Mrs. Henrietta Lacks (no one knows why her name was changed from Loretta.)
Early in 1951, Mrs. Lacks discovered she had an aggressive form of cervical cancer; as she
was being treated, her cells were removed without her consent for research. Her cells were referred to as HeLa (hee-lua) cells so doctors wouldn't have to disclose the name of the donor.
Mrs. Lacks passed in October of 1951;buried in an unmarked grave, she passed unaware of the extraction of her cells and the impact she would have in the world of medical science.
I strongly encourage each of you to research the history of Mrs. Lacks life and the "HeLa cells", there are many articles relating to her life as well as a book entitled "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" (Skloot.)
Over the past thirty years, the Lacks family has been making strides to have their beloved mother, sister, grandmother's name honored, on Saturday, May 29, 2010 the healing began.
A doctor with Morehouse College in Georgia provided funds to give Mrs. Lacks a proper headstone so people from all walks of life can identify the final resting place of this phenomenal woman.
I had the pleasure to attend the memorial service for Mrs. Lacks in my hometown. I was glad to see so many people in attendance on a Memorial Day weekend. I later began to see that the base if attendees were the extend family of Mrs. Lacks. This was the first encounter for many of the family members, and you could feel the love for one another.
Doctors, family members, public officials gave remarks on the life and legacy of Mrs. Lacks and the way the HeLa cells are still saving lives to this very day.
The highlight of the ceremony for me was the remarks of a pastor in our area. To paraphrase his remarks, he gave what some would call a prophetic vision of the day doctors/scientist discover the cure for cancer thanks impart to the HeLa cells.
I found myself very moved, to the point of tears about this woman and her story. She was my age when she passed away and almost sixty years later, I had the opportunity to be in the midst of her family and friends.
As I heard how the HeLa cells are used, I felt a since of gratitude to Mrs. Lacks as she could be the reason my grandfather lived an easier life as he battled cancer. I thought about the couples that now have families of their own, those who don't have to endure endless sickness because of one woman's unique genetic code.
The service ended with a sense of closure with optimism for the future of science and of course, love.
There is more to come from this story, so much more. I hope this has given you as much interest as it has given me. I also hope to follow up on Mrs. Lacks in future entries.
Thank you, Mrs. Lacks.

Where there is love, I'll be there....

Walking to Emmaus by Fritz von Uhde

On the Road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35)

Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem. They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; but they were kept from recognizing him.

He asked them, "What are you discussing together as you walk along?"

They stood still, their faces downcast. One of them, named Cleopas, asked him, "Are you only a visitor to Jerusalem and do not know the things that have happened there in these days?"

"What things?" he asked.

"About Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him; but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place. In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning but didn't find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive. Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but him they did not see."

He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.

As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus acted as if he were going farther. But they urged him strongly, "Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over." So he went in to stay with them.

When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"

They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together and saying, "It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon." Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.

Poet's Notion - Tribute to Michael Jackson

This beautiful and heartfelt tribute to Michael was written and sung by lovely MJ Fam member Carina Lanes. Michael Jackson is one of her biggest role-models.

The song "Poet's Notion" was written right after his passing when she went to Los Angeles to pay her last respects to him in July 2009. "He left us something that we can continue and with this in mind I want keep doing what I do."

Enjoy!

A Poet's Notion

It was june
and the night was quiet
i will always remember
I smelled the rain
when the news
almost made me surrender
I looked up
for the sign of a lie
praying for a wonder
I'm caught alive
in a blaze
craving for a blunder

It's a poet's notion
to fall away too soon
I fall away with you
I'll make it a better place
like you told me to
even if I fall away too

Is it too late?
am I overcome
by a rational fate?
How can turn back time
or buy eternity?
cos you're the one we need

It's a poet's notion
to fall away too soon
We fall away with you
We'll make it a better place
like you told us to
even if we fall away too
even if we fall away too

Random experience at the MJ memorial, Munich

This afternoon in between two appointments I managed to pass by the MJ memorial, which is a rare experience on weekdays for me.

When I came nobody was there and I lit up some candles. Then a group (around six) of older ladies came by (all way beyond 60, more beyond 70!) and they were soooo full of AWEs and talking about Michael and the memorial, showing each other those pictures attached, pointing at them like: "Look at him on this, when he was a kid. Oh, on this he was older. Oh, that is a nice one." etc.

So lovely! Then they asked me, if I was taking care of the memorial and I responded that I'm just lighting up a few candles this time and the place is something many people contribute to every day...

One of them said: "There is so much vandalism around these days, so it's even more amazing it's still there and so beautiful!"

I told them they have been hater-attacks but we wouldn't let them destroy the love and the more beautiful it is, less people are trying to destroy... "Aaaah, yes, right. Thank you."

Then they were all taking pictures of the memorial and group pictures in front of it.

It made me smile for the rest of the day...

Everytime I see people there that are a bit outside of Michael's regular "core target / fan group" (I know he reached so many different people but still I haven't met those ladies on the concerts!) it makes me even more proud and happy because I feel Michael's legacy is being restored amongst the "regular people".

I feel that bit by bit... "the truth unfurls"! All of those articles / media attacks / madness / accusations, etc. are somehow fading in history and the L.O.V.E. more and more comes shining through!

For further generations Michael will be remembered for what he was and on a side note it will be said that he was facing a lot of opposition for it.

We all, as the global MJ fam, contribute to this process everyday and more than anything I thank all of you for it and I am proud and happy to do my part.

Let L.O.V.E. rule!

Lyrics blog: On The Line - Michael Jackson

This is a new series of irregular blog entries that focus on the depth of Michael's lyrics. As much as they speak for themselves they deserve thorough attention everytime you listen.

Michael shared his wisdom in his lyrics and in combination with the music and his voice, a song becomes a universe.

My song of today is "On The Line". It is written by MJ (unlike stated in the "Ghosts" single*) and produced by Babyface and opened Spike Lee’s 1996 movie "Get on the Bus" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWmvleHLIaM). It was left off of the official soundtrack because of a label dispute, but you can buy the song on MJ's Ultimate Collection, which was released in 2004.

"On The Line" to me is part of Michael's many "affirmative" songs. His main message is encouragement. The kind of encouragement that we all need in our lives. It reaches you exactly at the point where you stand. Michael has this uncomparable ability to lift your spirits but includes a reminder that nothing comes for free. Whatever it is, it might not be easy and you might have to try harder. But the price is endless.

"Hard times just don't go away." How many of us have had this thought? Complaining and wallowing in self-pity is sucking you into a vicious circle of negativity ("that chip on your shoulder").

"It's time you open up, Have some faith" indicates change. Change of mind, change of thought. Collecting strength from believing.

"Don't you think it's time you go for a change?" Well, yeah. We want the negativity to go away. We want to like what we see in the mirror. Thank you Michael for reminding us, that the (wo)man in the mirror is the only one that can make a change to their very own situation! No more complaining, no more blaming situations, others... Me? YES!

"Gotta put your heart on the line, If you wanna make it right. You've got to reach out and try!" Ok, I hear you. The change needs my own input. And my energy, it isn't for free. But I am in the driver's seat.

"If you wanna do it now, You gotta learn to try. You can make it right somehow!" Ok, trial. There might be error but trying is a requirement for change. And "YES, you can!". Can I?

"Let love come free and that's just so easy now." So easy? Really Michael? It didn't seem that easy while I was busy complaining. But I forgot about the love... oh.

"You gotta go for what you want, You gotta do what you got to do" Oh dear, YES!!! I want! I want a change. I want to make it right! So, why waiting? Hesitation? Compromise? No! Go for what you want!

"Don't waste your time on the past, no, no
It's time you look to the future
It's all right there if you ask
This time if you try much harder
You'll be the best that you can be!"

YES, I will. Thank you Michael for guiding me through!!!

Michael Jackson - On The Line

No sense pretending its over
Hard times just don't go away
You gotta take that chip off your shoulder
It's time you open up
Have some faith

Nothing good ever comes easy
All good things come in due time
Yes it does
You gotta have something to believe in
I'm telling you to open your mind

Gotta put your heart on the line
If you wanna make it right
You've got to reach out and try
Gotta put your heart on the line
If you wanna make it right
Gotta put it all on the line

You see yourself in the mirror
And you don't like what you see
And things aren't getting much clearer
Don't you think it's time you go for a change

Don't waste your time on the past, no, no
It's time you look to the future
It's all right there if you ask
This time if you try much harder
You'll be the best that you can be

Gotta put your heart on the line
If you wanna make it right
You've got to reach out and try
Gotta put your heart on the line
If you wanna make it right

If you wanna do it now
You gotta learn to try
You can make it right somehow
Let love come free
And that's just so easy now
You gotta go for what you want
You gotta do what you got to do

Gotta put your heart on the line
If you wanna make it right
You've got to reach out and try
Gotta put your heart on the line
If you wanna make it right

[Repeat and fade out]

The rainbow

Michael...

Look for the rainbow in the sky
I believe you and I
Could never really say goodbye

Wherever you may be
I'll look up and see
Someone in the dark for me

Wherever you may be
I'll look up and see
Someone in the dark for me

Someone In The Dark

All alone wishing on stars
Waiting for you to find me
One sweet night I knew I would see
A stranger who'd be my friend

When someone in the dark reaches out to you
And touches off a spark that comes shining through
It tells you never be afraid
Then somewhere in your heart you can feel the glow
A light to keep you warm when the night winds blow
Like it was written in the stars I knew
My friend, my someone in the dark was you

Promise me we'll always be
Walking the world together
Hand in hand where dreams never end
My star secret friend and me

When someone in the dark reaches out to you
And touches off a spark that comes shining through
It tells you never be afraid
Then somewhere in your heart you can feel the glow
A light to keep you warm when the night winds blow
Look for the rainbow in the sky
I believe you and I
Could never really say goodbye
Wherever you may be
I'll look up and see
Someone in the dark for me
Wherever you may be
I'll look up and see
Someone in the dark for me

Though you're gone star far away
Each time I see a rainbow
I'll remember being with you
Smiles coming through my tears

When someone in the dark reaches out for you
And touches off a spark that comes shining through
It tells you never be afraid
Then somewhere in your heart you can feel the glow
A light to keep you warm when the night winds blow
Look for the rainbow in the sky
I believe you and I
Could never really say goodbye
Wherever you may be
I'll look up and see
Someone in the dark for me
Wherever you may be
I'll look up and see
Someone in the dark for me!

"North of Neverland"

This weekend, my family watched the animated film "Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure," based on the book "Tink, North of Neverland." Of course I thought of Michael, his love of Peter Pan and Neverland.

A lengthy plot review is not included in this post, but if you'd like to read the full plot, visit the link listed at the end of the post.

This is the most relevant paragraph to the points at hand:

"When she unveils the scepter, the assembled fairies are alarmed to see the fragments of the moonstone. However, the broken moonstone shards create an unexpected benefit – increased surface area through which the rays of the blue moon could pass, which creates the most blue pixie dust ever seen in Pixie Hollow."

There are some strong metaphors related to Michael in this story. First of all, Neverland itself represents eternal childhood, escapism and immortality. Michael exhibited the former in 3-dimensional life, and has achieved the later since his passing. Pixie Hollow is North of Neverland, North representing not just compass position, but a higher, greater state of Neverland.

The blue moonstone is also an important symbol. The moon is an obvious one and some variations of blue are considered "angel blue." Add to this, the fairies were to activate this blue moonstone on the first night of the autumn harvest to sprinkle pixie dust on Pixie Hollow. This would allow the town to rejuvenate its powers.

The night that Michael's physical body was laid to rest, the autumn harvest moon was shining brightly. Is it hard to imagine the MJFAM as the fairies sprinkling his pixie dust on the world?

Finally, the fragmented moon stone imitates Michael’s love, since his passing. Though his physical presence was destroyed (fragmented) his eternal presence is so much more powerful and abundant as before.

"Tink, North of Neverland" illustrates that Michael's passing has had an unexpected effect on each of us, and his love stronger than ever. Communion with MJFAM reveals that he is positioned to reach a happier, even more blissful state than the Neverland that he had imagined.
