25th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall

It’s been 25 years since the Berlin Wall has fallen. Consolidating the occasion for the people in Central and Eastern Europe to intensify their fight that, until early next year the communist regimes, installed after WWII,  fell, exposing the destruction and crimes (not yet fully acknowledged) of the soviet led rule.

25 years later Germany, Europe, and every country that have been  under the Iron Curtain are still trying to come to terms with the history, understand it and overcome the rifts created by a system built on fear.

Today, pieces from the wall are scattered throughout Berlin and the world. The huge blocks have become canvases expressing the need, want and search for freedom, love and togetherness.
And also that there are many other to tear down, in our minds and souls, our homes, our countries and in our world.

“There is something in the human spirit that will survive and prevail, there is a tiny and brilliant light burning in the heart of man that will not go out no matter how dark the world becomes.”
Leo Tolstoy
