Modern day slavery is still a strong cell of activity around the world: Globally, some 600,000 to 800,000 people are being trafficked across international boarders each year, 20% of the victims are children.*
In the United States, the CIA estimates 50,000 people are trafficked through the USA annually as sex slaves, domestics, garment and agricultural slaves.*

We tend to look at this problem as something that is very distant, as part of the past or going on far from our geographical area. In fact it is in our own backyard. Around us. On the street that we live.
We must learn more about it, keep our eyes and hearts open and start doing more to end it.

It's our duty as a member of mankind and activists for humanity to raise our voices against this and help the innocent children.
It's sad and shocking but it's around. Let's fight with love and never stop to stand up for the rights of children!
